A profile roller (vertical) is a type of tool used in metalworking to stamp a specific profile on a metal plate or other workpiece. The roller consists of a cylindrical body with a series of V-shaped grooves or profiles engraved in the surface of the roller. To profile the workpiece, it is usually clamped between two rollers, with the profiling roller pressed against the workpiece to create the desired profile.
